Gardening Tips, Landscape Advice & More!

Welcome to my gardening and landscape blog! I’ve enjoyed spending time (and money!) in the yard since I was a kid in the 1980s. I grew up going to botanical gardens for fun. I spent my allowance money in the garden section at the big-box department stores. I wiled away my Saturday mornings flipping channels between cartoons and home-improvement and gardening shows on PBS.

I married someone who loves spending time in the yard as much as I do, and together we spend free time pulling weeds, planting plants, and getting yard ideas from our visits to landmarks up and down the East Coast of the United States and beyond. Gardening and landscaping aren’t my full-time profession (I’m a writer and editor by trade), and I certainly don’t know it all. But I lean on my personal experience, successes, and travails in sharing my garden and landscape tips and refer to my freelance journalism background when asking the experts how they keep their landscapes green and their gardens blooming.
